If you are interested in learning to quilt, joining NBQA is a great way to start. There are several member workshops over the course of the year and opportunities such as “Quilt-a-thons” to work side by side with experienced quilters.
You may also try contacting your local quilt shop. Quilt shops usually offer a variety of classes for quilters of every level. Sometimes classes are specifically labeled as “learn to quilt” and others are focused on a project that will teach you quilting skills along the way. The quilt shop staff can help guide you.

Allison also lectures, does trunk shows for guilds, does workshops and teaches privately on longarm quilting (she will come to your home and give you a private lesson on your machine)
