“A Day at the Imrov with Billie and Kassie”
Let loose and go wild! We will push you to quilt outside the box and creatively sew blocks together without a pattern. Several improv piecing techniques will be demonstrated such as deconstructing traditional blocks and learning to create new ones. Even though you are going wild, you will also be in total control. This is a great way to use those scraps and bust your stash! Great for everyone from beginners to advanced quilters.

STORM AT SEA
Using my “No More Tears”© Foundation Piecing Method
Are you curious about paper piecing? Do you and paper piecing already have a love/hate relationship? Do you love the accuracy you achieve, but hate the process of getting there? Well, this class will change that to a LOVE relationship. We’ll be using the versatile Storm at Sea pattern to learn my “No More Tears”© method of paper piecing. Although we won’t be finishing the entire project in class, you’ll have at least one full block, and the tools you’ll need to finish it at home, in half the time you’d expect from paper piecing. Don’t believe me? You’ll just have to come and see for yourself!
Have you seen Diana Funke’s beautiful bags? We have the pleasure of hosting her and Diane Antestenis for a workshop where they will teach members how to make these fantastic beach bags. Bluebird of Happiness
I am so excited about this project. Yes, there are a lot of pieces and yes, it’s going to take you a while to sew all of the pieces. But, while sewing you will learn a lot. You will learn how to make perfect points, perfect circles, perfect ovals, smooth curves, smooth stems, some hand embroidery and just for added fun…..a little reverse appliqué.
The inside appliqué area is 14”x 14”. With the additional black border area the piece finishes 20” x 20”
Please use the Upper-level entrance.
